Tips for a Smooth Online Course Experience

The reason we use the Ruzuku platform is because it is easy to learn and students experience so few issues.

1. Ensure you can navigate to your course

The courses you’ve signed up for are available at https://courses.awakeningdharma.org/ or the via “My Courses” link on the homepage.

This is where you will go to join your course when it is time for it to start.

We recommend book marking this page.

2. Ensure that you will get all email notifications

  1. Ensure that the following email addresses are added to your contacts (or safe senders list):
    • [E-Address: notifications | courses] – used by Ruzuku for course notifications.
    • hello@awakeningdharma.org – used for the newsletter, general announcements, and some Ruzuku notifications.
  2. Check your SPAM folder for any emails that were incorrectly filtered to SPAM. You’ll need to mark these emails as “Not Spam”.
  3. Search your email for the email addresses hello@awakeningdharma.org, [E-Address: notifications | courses]  notifications@courses.ruzuku.com to see if they emails have been filtered from your default view. Some email providers remove emails like these from your INBOX and put them in an area called “Updates” or similar.
  4. If you’ve completed above and aren’t getting email, please see Technical Issues & Support.

3. Install Zoom in advance of your course

See the Zoom Download page.

Make sure your camera, mic, and speakers are working.

Also, regularly install updates to keep your version current.

4. If the “Join Meeting” button in Ruzku isn’t working

Sometimes if you click the “Join Meeting” button there can be an issue where the meeting isn’t automatically launched at the start time. Simply refreshing your browser once, or navigating to the page a second time, seems to resolve the issue.

5. In case of issues

In case of technical issues, please see Technical Issues & Support for the most common questions and answers, and how to get help.
